Newsflash

The Libertyville Lions participated with three, five-person, bowling teams at the District 1F bowling tournament at Bertrand Lanes in Waukegan, IL on February 17th, 2010.  One team managed by Lion Jerry Hoglund had scores into the high 200’s while the other two teams had a lot of fun trying to connect strikes and spares.

Lion Geary Hedrick received a special recognition award at the next week’s Tri-club Lions Meeting for throwing a gutter ball on his first ball of the beverage frame.  His team appreciated Geary’s contribution!

There were raffles and prizes and plenty of camaraderie among the Lions and friends.

The event was well-attended by the district and proceeds will serve the visual and hearing impaired in Illinois.
